Shifen & Jiufen

While the small village Shifen is known for releasing lanterns with wishes on them into the sky, Jiufen gained popularity for allegedly being the inspiration to Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away. Even while arriving around sunset, Jiufen's narrow alleyways were still crowded with tourists. July 4, 2023
