Yuen Yuen Institute & Western Monastery

A lesser known attraction in Hong Kong is the Yuen Yuen Institute. Established in 1950, it’s dedicated to all three eastern religions: Confucianism, Buddhism and Daoism. It serves as a temple and also offers funeral services, which can include burning large handmade paper objects like a car or smartphones to pass them to the afterlife.
